The Musicians’ Census is a joint project by the Musicians’ Union and Help Musicians to get the most accurate picture of musicians’ work and life in the UK.

The Musicians’ Census will document black and ethnically diverse musicians’ contributions to the music industry and advocate for funding, design services and support that reflect your needs and the needs of your community.

It’s essential that the experiences of black and ethnically diverse musicians are heard. The data that is collected will help to improve representation and challenge racism and harassment. This is why in the final days of the survey, which closes this Friday on the 31st March 2023, the Black Music Coalition are supporting getting the survey to black artists and creatives, ensuring you too get your voices heard.

The census takes just 10 minutes to complete and to protect you, your answers to the Musicians’ Census will be anonymised.  Plus, once you’ve completed the Census, you can enter a prize draw to win one of five £300 One4All gift cards (terms apply).

Whatever your background, whatever your genre, make sure your voice is heard and take the Musicians’ Census here.
