Hackney-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Mychelle has treated us to a new single titled “Hurts” alongside visuals.
On this Hugo M.Hardy produced track, Mychelle speaks on the breakdown of a relationship and the accompanying visuals bring her lyrics to life by depicting a young couple going through the motions after a break-up.
“This song came together during my first session with Hugo,” Mychelle said on the making of the song. “I really enjoyed working with him as he was able to draw out the indie sounds that I like. Having played guitar and been a busker for years, I’ve always enjoyed mixing the guitar vibes of folk and indie music with soul and R&B”.
“Hurts” is the latest single to be released from Mychelle’s forthcoming EP, the follow-up to last year’s Someone Who Knows which features the ENNY-assisted “Forbidden Fruit”.
