Inmates at Johannesburg’s Medium B prison got a very special treat recently when they were joined by strippers at an official prison event.
The event, which took place on June 21 was part of Youth Month, a celebration which aims to rehabilitate offenders. The official story from the head correctional officer says that female dancers were indeed hired, but those organising the event had no idea they were strippers until it was too late.
Photos were leaked online of the inmates being paid some extra attention by the strippers and obviously the internet went made for it.
The Department of Correctional Services even confirmed that the pictures were legit, however they aren’t happy about it. As well as suspending 13 of the correctional officers, they said in a statement, “We can never tolerate what we have seen on the social media since Saturday.”
