Spotify is rumoured to be adding another subscription tier to its services. The Supremium tier is is likely to be double the price of the current normal subscription, which means it will cost just over £16 a month, and is said to include lossless audio. Lossless audio is essentially means higher quality, as most streaming services currently offer compressed versions of the tracks, which often results in reduced quality for the audiophiles out there. Lossless Audio will mean that none of the track is damaged during the compression process, thus offering listeners a much more pleasurable listening experience without huge file sizes.
On top of improved audios, users could also get access to audiobooks (allowing 15 to be listened to each month at no additional cost), and AI playlist generation tools. Will you be parting with your hard earned cash for any of these features?
