Earlier this year, it was revealed Banksy was the man behind designing Stormzy’s infamous stab-proof vest which he sported during his Glastonbury set and now the mysterious artist is selling the garment online.

The vest is up for bid on Banksy’s brand-new online store dubbed ‘Gross Domestic Product’ where it is currently listed at the price of £850.00.

The website describes the vest as being “a version of the ‘Johnn Bull’ English gents waistcoat updated for modern times”. Banksy also notes it was “worn by Stormzy last Glastonbury festival (because it’s very dangerous there).”

Many of the items on Gross Domestic Product recently featured in Banksy’s pop-up store in Croydon.

Those keen to scoop up the vest and other pieces of art have until October 28th to register their interest in the product by proving they’re not a robot by filling in their details and answering the question: “Why does art matter?”. Comedian Adam Bloom will be judging the responses, looking for the most “amusing, informative or enlightening” answer to pick a lucky winner.

The website tells potential buyers: “The shop is not first come, first served. Due to the limited number of products currently available we are opening a registration system. You have until 28th October to browse the shop and register your interest to buy a product.

“Please pick one item only, then enter your details and answer the question. Entrants will be selected at random and offered first refusal to make a purchase within 7 working days with a secure way to pay.”
