Channel 4 has given the green light for season 3 and season 4 of The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan.

Mo Gilligan announced the big news on Instagram today.

“Excited to announce my Bafta award winning show ‘The Lateish Show’ has been recommissioned by Channel 4 for another 2 Series for 2022 and 2023 and even better we’ve got 8 episodes per series,” Mo wrote.

“I’m absolutely buzzing that @channel4 have given us such an incredible commissioning commitment. The whole team is very proud of Lateish and through this long-term partnership we’ll continue to work hard to make the very best show we can, whilst also creating more opportunities behind camera for those from underrepresented groups.

“Thank you for the support, sometimes I still can’t believe I have my own show.”

Since first airing in July 2019, The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan has been a hit with viewers who’ve enjoyed the chat show’s games, sketches and music. The series also includes chats with some of the biggest names in the world as Mo has previously sat down with Riz Ahmed, Tyson Fury, KSI, Jade Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer and more.

In 2021, The Lateish Show received a massive nod when Mo Gilligan was awarded a BAFTA in the Entertainment Performance category for the show.

Speaking on the recommissioning of the series, Channel 4’s Phil Harris – Head of Entertainment – said: “Channel 4 is proud to be the home of the most exciting names in comedy entertainment and even as he takes over the world, Mo still maintains his incredible passion for The Lateish Show.

“This two-series recommission cements our commitment to Mo and his place as a key Channel 4 talent.”

The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan will return to Channel 4 for its third season later this year.
