Welcome back to The Plug, your only definitive guide to the best music out of our scene, every single week. Last week we brought you a double whammy from Scrufizzer, as well as 5 more of the most sick tunes out. This week is no different with some insane new release from all the best youngers out right now, as well as an impressive appearance from a veteran. Our guy Griff has rounded up the 7 hottest tunes this week, just for you. Check ’em out below.

Check out last weeks picks while you’re at it, right here.

Rival – Said To Me (ft. Ghetts & Casey Lim)

Last week Rival dropped his ‘Eat Biscuits’ album on Bandcamp and it’s defo worth checking out if you haven’t already. One of the highlights has to be this emotive collaboration with Ghetts and Casey Lim, who delivers a Lana Del Ray-esque hook. The beat is melancholy, with some melodic samples thrown in for good measure. We rate this one. Raw.

DC – Strong

There’s a Daniel Bedingfield sample on this tune. I don’t feel like I have to go any deeper than that. DC, you are the realest for this.

Youngs Teflon – Falcao

Youngs Tefs hits up the pages of The Plug for the second week running, with another smooth Hip-Hop vibe. Named after traitorous Chelsea player Falcao, Tefs has some words for all you man who switch sides. Football metaphors can be played out, but this one works a treat.

Izzie Gibbs – 10 Days Freestyle

Northampton’s finest Izzie Gibbs is the latest MC to take on The Game and Drake’s popular “100” instrumental, taking a leaf out of Stormzy’s book. Leaving the hook from the 6 God intact, he fills the verses with some honest bars about his past and where he’s heading.

Isaiah Dreads – Hype In The Booth

Isaiah Dreads is only a teenager, but he’s got some flames in the booth. Contrasting the calm intro’s sample of the Dorchester trainline announcement – where Isaiah hails from – with an explosive grimey instrumental and some charged up bars. His hook game is strong too, just ask the gyaldem.

Lancey Foux – Best Mate

Lancey Foux has got an eclectic soundboard of influences, that much is clear from every single track he puts out. Our recent interviewee has let go of another track, the more R&B-tinged “Best Mate”, which also blends elements of Trap without losing it’s London sensibilities. Play this one for your go-to for some serious ratings.

A2 – Winter Winner

Although it’s pretty depressing that summer is on the way out, A2 is bringing the vibes for the winter. Listen to his latest track “Winter Winner” now, to warm up the weather with some serious vibes. Don’t forget to check out the latest episode of New Gen Radio too, where A2 gave the green light on some heavy exclusives.
