T.I. is the latest rapper to move into in the legal cannabis business. The Atlanta-haling rapper is set to partner with weed brand Harvest Connect.
The brand, Harvest Connect, has been in operation since 2019 and currently boasts several stores across the Atlanta area.
As well as investing money into the company, T.I. is set to launch his own line of cannabis under the brand in 2021.
In a statement, T.I. said, “After hearing about Kevin’s vision for Harvest Connect and their desire to focus on Georgians and underserved communities, I knew I wanted to be involved.”
“I believe my team and I can knock down certain barriers, helping further their vision. We’re excited to be a part of the team.”
This move from T.I. follows Jay-Z’s launch of Monogram – his own legal marijuana brand.
The launch message read, “Monogram marks a new chapter in cannabis defined by dignity, care and consistency. It is a collective effort to bring you the best and a humble pursuit to discover what the best truly means. Progress is endless.”
