It’s here, people. Tomorrow is the night. The only awards show that represents this scene and this culture fully is back.

Now, last year was undeniable greatness, with Giggs, Section Boyz and Kano just a few of the names to grace the stage. But this year’s awards is gonna be the (Kanye voice) “BEST AWARDS SHOW OF ALL TIME!”

Here’s a few things we can expect, and a few more we can dream about.

Certified Sickness

So let’s start with what we know. According to Wiley, Ghetts and Rude Kid have the most popping stage show around, so it’s only right that we get them moving the crowd at the awards. Expect energy, fire, bangers and more from one of grime’s seminal rapper-producer combos.

Next up, we know for certain that the wickedly talent RAY BLK will be gracing the stage. Her certified anthem “My Hood” has propelled her to new levels in the urban scene, with its distinctive blend of sentimentality and realness. BLK’s unique voice is something you have to see to believe, so make sure you do not miss out.

And it don’t stop there.

Certain Surprises

Now surprises are a given at awards shows. First of all, there’s 11 prizes up for grabs, and you’re guess is as good as mine on who’s winning those. With those awards, though, comes a load of unexpected fun. Last year we had a solid dose of DJ bants (to put it mildly) between Westwood and Charlie Sloth (“Don’t get gassed!”), and with so much to play for this year, who knows what antics we can expect.

On top of that is the array of special performances on the night. I cannot give anything away, but get your phone ready because the type stuff we got goin’ on, you’ll be hollering your aunty’s aunty with the news. Watch this space, and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Something Special

Finally – there’s the prized Legacy Award to look forward to. Last year, Giggs presented the gong to Kano, who gave a touching acceptance speech before gracing the stage. This year will be no less legendary, and bring a superb end to what promises to be a night of history for the grime and UK rap scene.

We will be streaming live from 7PM on our website. Do what you gotta do.
