Fortnite has destroyed Tilted Towers; a shocking move that will change the game forever.
Tilted Towers is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the game and familiar players will recall the towers taking centre stage at many of the game’s battles. The towers were destroyed after the Fortnite volcano erupted and left most of the island in ruins.
The move away from Tilted Towers was teased heavily on social media however many thought it to be mere speculation with gamers unable to imagine the world of Fortnite without the iconic towers.
The event took place over the weekend and players were transported to a new dimension in which they were able to recover items which were previously made extinct in the game’s universe.
The game also had its battle royale modes disabled which suggests that more new and improved content is coming.
The drastic change for the game comes as it continues to rise In popularity. Fortnite recently released an Avengers: Endgame themed mode to coincide with the release of the movie.
