The Black Pound Day team have officially announced the opening of their Westfield Stratford pop-up store.
The news was unveiled by Black Pound Day founder and So Solid Crew member, Swiss, who revealed the launch date and location of the store in a video post.
“The grand opening of the Black Pound Day Store in Westfield Stratford City is happening on the 04.02.23 at 12pm,” the caption of the video reads. “We are situated on Floor G, opposite the Hugo Boss, the nearest Car Park is B. And, the closest entrance is the Westfield Avenue E12 entrance.
“We’ll be showcasing the best of our UK Black brands across various categories, all under one roof for your shopping pleasure.”
The Westfield Stratford Black Pound Day store is due to open on 4th February before shutting up shop on 28th February. As well as selling some of the best Black-owned UK brands, the pop-up store will also house a grand launch day with entertainment from the likes of Donae’O, Saxon Sound, DJ Pioneer and more.
The opening of the Westfield Stratford branch comes nearly a year after the launch of the permanent Black Pound Day store in Westfield White City. Both stores highlight the growth of the BPD movement which was established in 2020 to encourage people to support and invest in Black-owned businesses on the first Saturday of each month.
