To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, we decided to add to the festivities with a list containing some of the hottest Irish talent right now. We’ve tried to capture a broad selection of well known artists, while trying to highlight some of the lesser known up and comers. Take in our list below!

Rejjie Snow

Dublin bred, Rejjie Snow is global. His robust and unique style has seen him secure a loyal fanbase and work with names like the late MF DOOM, Amine & Snoh Aalegra. Rejjie has both critical acclaim and multi-million streams to boast.

Other notable tracks: “Egyptian Luvr (ft. Amine & Dana Williams)”, “Charlie Brown”

A92

Storming their way into the game, the A92 collective go from strength to strength. Initially spearheaded by Offica, members Dbo, Ksav, Nikz, AO & BT are all now dropping tunes solo and collaboratively. Seeing chart success last year, their “Plugged In Freestyle”, smashed over 30 Million streams on Spotify alone.

Other notable tracks: “A9 Freestyle”, “Go Low 2.0”

JyellowL

One of the most exciting new rappers, Jyellow’s pen game is well intact. Creative to say the least, his Nigerian and Irish influence both come through in his music. His single “OZONE” featured on the Fifa 2020 soundtrack, J is another rapper from the Emerald Isles doing his thing. Be sure to check out our in depth interview with him right here.

Other notable tracks: “Jewels”, “Home”, “Oh Lawd”

Hare Squead

Dublin duo Hare Squead. They made big waves with tracks like “Minor Gangsters (Gully)” and “Flowers”. Notably appearing on Goldlink’s gold certified mixtape At What Cost. Consistently making noise, their slick, signature tones turn heads.

Other notable tracks: “Herside Story”, “100 Miles”

AV9

AV9’s Chuks, Rose9 and Swift9 have been bubbling, taking Irish drill in their stride. Their hard-hitting bops putting them on the map. AV9 have quickly become ones to watch.

Other notable tracks: “Facts”, “Happy Days”

BoyW1DR

BoyW1DR is undoubtedly one of the most exciting new acts coming out of the Emerald Isles. 2020 saw him drop his debut album No Play Boys, which featured bangers like “Slide”, “Broken Feelings” and “Tick”.

Other Notable Tracks: “The Man”, “Starburst”, “TTMN”.

7th Obi

7th Obi’s style is perhaps leaning towards an American rap feel as opposed to a UK sound, but you just cannot deny how cold it really is. His unique autotune tinged drawl caught the attention of producers of Golden Globe nominated show Normal People, who featured his track “Alone” on the show.

Other notable tracks: “Tesla Navigation”, “Lie2u”.

Jafaris

Jafaris may be better known to us on this side of the pond for his feature alongside songstress Joy Crookes, on their track “Early” back in 2019. But Jafaris is certainly a musical powerhouse with plenty more to offer.

Other Notable Tracks: “Beggar”, “Glue”, “Time”

#86 Ink

Ink probably popped up on most people’s radar’s due to his appearance on the the Vice documentary which spotlighted the Irish Drill scene. He recently jumped on Fumez’s “Plugged In” series, after shelling Charlie FITB last year. It was in fact his 2019 project Eye for an Eye that really put him on the map.

Other notable tracks: “Bad Intentions”, “Escobar”, “The Solution”

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
