One of the pioneers of the scene Sneakbo, is about to release his hotly anticipated mixtape Jetski Wave 3. Before we gorge ourselves on the 15 track platter that Sneakbo has prepared for us, why not whet your appetite on some of Sneakbo’s earlier essential tunes that we’ve compiled for your listening pleasure below.

“Touch Ah Button” Feat Political Peak & JJ

Released in 2011, the trio gave the iconic Vybz Kartel joint a UK spin. Regarded as one of the forefathers of afroswing, Sneakbo attacks the dancehall instrumental supported by Vybz who remains on the hook.

“Active” Feat Giggs

Dropping in late 2017, a collaboration that history might have suggested would never come to fruition. The coloured past between Brixton and Peckham, meant that Giggs and Bo linking up on a tune was truly a sign of the times.

“Wave Like Us” Feat Political Peak

Another one of their early bangers dropping in 2012.  Although the video looks dated, the beat selection was most certainly ahead of its time. Amassing over 4 million views in 2012 was also no mean feat. Check out Political Peak’s last drop on GRM right here.

“The Wave”

The 10s were categorised by the electro pop wave that many artists rode, as industry shifts had made it difficult for their more authentic sounds to get airplay and rave bookings. Bo’s brief detour through the electro pop avenues was guided by production from ILL Blu. Now one of the scenes biggest producers, working with the likes of Headie, MoStack, Not3s and IAMDDB.

“SBTV Cypher”: Sneakbo, Sho Shallow, Timbo, Ambush, Depzman, Ard Adz.

During SBTV’s early years they had some of the most legendary cyphers on the channel, this one shot out in Ibiza is most definitely one of them.

“Warn Them” Feat Mavado

During the 10s Mavado was one of the the biggest dancehall artists cutting through, and would go on to collaborate with many of our scenes rising talents. Bo already having proven that he was unafraid to fuse his sound with dancehall on earlier tracks like “Touch Ah Button”, a collaboration with Mavado seemed natural for him. Later on in that year Mavado would collaborate with Chip on his smash hit “Every Gyal”.

“Freak” Feat OG Niki

Another Bo banger from 2011, is Sneakbo’s infamous collaboration with OG Niki.

“Still Breathing”

Although Bo might have rose to prominence because of his more wavey lyricism, he shows he’s more than capable of conscious lyricism, as he delivers some heartfelt street poetry on this one.

“With That” – Yungen & Sneakbo

The South London pair tackle the Young Thug smash hit and completely make it their own. Bo and Yungen bounce off each other adeptly as they pop bottles and buss moves on Segways. Remember them?

“Dem Man”

Sneakbo comes through on another bouncy instrumental. The tape that this track featured on, Jetskiwave 2 was hosted by legendary Yonkers DJ Whoo Kid. The tape featured the likes of Shaybo, Kojo Funds and Davido. The range of features alone displays the plethora of different waves that Bo is able to jump on.

“Aint on Nuttin Remix 2” – Yungen Feat Sneakbo

This remix saw a cross generational link up with the likes of Stormzy, Bashy, Benny Banks, Ghetts, Angel and Cashh jumping on the mic. Let us know on the socials who had the best verse on this one!
